The Rhum Fest Awards is an international blind tasting competition that recognizes the excellence of sugarcane spirits. Open to producers worldwide, it offers unique and prestigious recognition thanks to a jury of experts composed of professional tasters, bloggers, producers, wine merchants, and enthusiasts from all over the world.
Each year, hundreds of wines are rigorously evaluated, without any external influence, ensuring a fair and representative list of market trends.
In the cachaça category, the Cachaça da Quinta Prata (white) received the bronze medal at the 2025 Rhum Fest Awards.
Cachaça da Quinta is produced at the Fazenda da Quinta, in the municipality of Carmo, in the mountainous region of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in a valley near the Paraíba do Sul River, at an altitude of 220 meters.
With a clear, dense white color, this white cachaça has a delicate, intense, and persistent aroma reminiscent of sugarcane juice with fruity notes.
Light, balanced, supple, refined, intense, and long on the palate. The finish is fruity and harmonious overall.
The production of Cachaça da Quinta adheres to rigorously established and controlled criteria, including:
- Organic sugarcane plantations, implementing the best selection, sowing, care, and harvesting techniques.
- Organic fermentation, using carefully selected sugarcane yeasts, all cultivated on the estate.
- Slow distillation in a copper still, until the perfect "heart" is obtained, i.e., the correct fraction of cachaça with a high sensory and physicochemical standard.
- Storage for two years in wooden barrels—amburana or oak (carvalho in Portuguese)—and ten to twelve months in stainless steel barrels—resting in a more than century-old fazenda with thick walls, high ceilings, and terracotta floors, perfect for aging.
