A true laboratory of ideas, this program showcases collaborative projects, combining creation, innovation, and intercultural dialogue. Are you curious to discover the connections between samba and electro, French-language literature, and Afro-Brazilian philosophy? The France-Brazil Season 2025 is for you.

From April to September, Paris celebrates Brazil with an exceptional program showcasing Brazilian artists, intellectuals, authors, and creators!

Six months of programming
For the 2025 Brazil-France Season, which will take place in France from April to September and in Brazil from August to December 2025, the City of Paris, in association with its cultural institutions and partner organizations, invites Parisians and visitors to the capital to six months of artistic programming and a summer filled with the warm colors of Brazil!
Organized by the Guimarães Rosa Institute and the French Institute, the France-Brazil Season includes two components: a Brazilian component in France curated by Emilio Kalil, and a French component in Brazil, orchestrated by Anne Louyot. This highly anticipated new season aims to celebrate the bonds of friendship between the two countries, which this year celebrate 200 years of diplomatic relations, through an exceptional program showcasing the artistic vitality, innovation, sensitivity, and cultural richness of both countries.

A key summer event, Paris Plages will be decked out in the colors of Brazil this summer, from July 5 to August 31, with a completely free program—and as always—complimentary. Combining relaxation, sports, fun, and cultural activities, and dining, this edition of Paris Plages will showcase the contemporary Brazilian scene and heritage, featuring photographic exhibitions, notably by Joao Farkas and Luis Braga, as well as a tribute to King Pelé, along the entire route; open-air Brazilian cinema evenings on the banks of the Seine; popular and intergenerational events centered around Brazilian blocos, DJ sets, and participatory workshops. Sports will also be in the spotlight, as will gastronomy. A traditional opening weekend event, the Bal Arrangé will also be decked out in Brazilian colors.
